🔹Dental X-ray machine consists of an envelope, tube head, positioning arm, control panel, circuit and supporting stand. It can be of wall-mounted fixed type or mobile.
🔹Tube head consists of glass X-ray tube, tube housing, transformer, lead shield, surrounding oil, tube head seal, filtration, collimator, spacer cone and electric current.
🔹X-ray tube consists of the cathode (focussing cup and filament) and anode (tungsten target and copper stem). The focussing cup is made up of molybdenum and the filament is made of tungsten. Filament is of 2 mm in diameter and 1 cm in length.
